Apricus Solar Hot Water Systems Receive OG-300 Certification

Apricus, a leading designer and manufacturer of solar hot water and hydronic heating products, has received OG-300 System Certification for 54 new residential solar hot water system packages from the Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC). These systems feature the Apricus evacuated tube solar collector and include all major components for residential direct flow or closed loop system configurations.

Apricus OG-300 Systems are designed to work with a variety of system formats and offer ten storage tank options from some of the top manufacturers in the industry. OG-300 System Certification allows customers to qualify for many state and utility rebate programs and ensures customers are purchasing a safe, reliable, high performance solar hot water system that is tested and approved by the SRCC’s strict requirements.

The SRCC is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to provide authoritative performance ratings, certifications and standards for solar thermal products, with the intention of protecting and providing guidance to customers, incentive providers, government, and the industry. The OG-300 certification was developed to improve performance and reliability of solar products. Certification is based upon the determination by the SRCC that the solar thermal water heating system “successfully meets its minimum criteria for design, reliability and durability, safety, operation and servicing, installation and operation and maintenance manuals.”
