Innovative Mounting Solution for Solar Parking Structures

Solaire Generation, the market leader for innovative solar parking structures, introduces the Max Rack(TM), a proprietary mounting system for its line of solar parking canopies. Solaire Generation Max Rack(TM): Reduce Balance of System costs, save time, and improve worker safety.

The Max Rack(TM) combines rail and panel installation into a single process in which panels are mounted onto rails on the ground or off-site and hoisted onto the canopy as units of six or more panels. This process is not only more accurate and at least 2x faster than typical panel installation on parking canopies, it significantly improves worker safety as all PV installation and operations & maintenance are performed from underneath the canopy. The Max Rack(TM) includes an integrated wire guide that conceals and protects panel strings. In addition, the Max Rack(TM) seamlessly integrates with the optional Max Rack(TM) Water Management System, which uses a combination of gaskets and gutters to collect and direct storm water into downspouts at each column. This proprietary system creates a superior parking experience and the opportunity to harvest storm water for gray water uses such as irrigation. The Max Rack(TM) is being installed on a 300 kW carport system currently under construction at the parking lot of Cronig’s Market in Martha’s Vineyard, MA.
