New Leader for Solar Business Development At Fast Solar Services

SEATTLE, July 26, 2012. Fast Solar Services today announced that sales and technology industry veteran Robert Stone will join its executive team as head of solar business development. Mr. Stone joins the company, a subsidiary of Seattle-based Fast Water Heater Company, with more than 20 years of sales leadership experience. His most recent positions include head of business development at Wavecom Solutions and Century Link as well as Director of Sales roles at Terabeam and Rhythms Netconnections.

“Bob Stone’s deep experience in developing and overseeing strong sales teams will be a great asset to our growing company,” said Jason Hanleybrown, CEO of Fast Solar Services.

Fast Water Heater launched its Fast Solar Services division in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2011. The company has been in business since 1986 and provides a variety of energy-saving services to 15,000-20,000 residential customers annually. Fast Solar Services installs solar thermal water heating and whole-home solar electric (photo voltaic) systems in California and Oregon. Fast Solar offers financing through SunRun to enable eligible homeowners to install solar systems with no money down and receive instant savings on utility bills.

Due to its strong record of success in Northern California, Fast Solar will begin offering solar installations in Southern California later this year. Mr. Stone will play a key role in overseeing the expansion.
