Solar Certification Fast Track
More and more utility company rebate and other incentive programs are requiring that installers be certified. ONTILITY’s new 40 hour course (S104) fulfills the educational requirements for NABCEP’s® Solar Thermal Certification. Completing the S104 course reduces the required field experience from four years to two and qualifies course completers to sit for the NABCEP® Solar Thermal Installer Certification Exam.
Course Overview – About ONTILITY’s Solar Thermal Design and Installation
ONTILITY’s S104 class provides students with thorough knowledge of solar thermal collectors and other system components; plumbing methods and best practices, system design, estimation, and code requirements. Also covered are solar thermal products and applications; an understanding of energy conversion from sunlight to heat, and how to work with solar conversion equipment.
The course is designed for anyone interested in solar energy, those in career change who are interested in working in the solar energy industry, or contractors and business owners who want to expand into solar energy system design and installation. No prior knowledge or experience with solar energy is required.
